The use of free and open source software allows it to operate

For our session, we learned how to use Final Cut Pro. We first started by experimenting by using a few clips and discovering the features on Final Cut Pro. We mainly learnt how to use the basic features such as Razer Blade and Motion which allowed us to manipulate the video. We later went and filmed a few clips of buildings and went back and shared our videos within our groups and started to manipulate and put together our short clips. Each group swapped round and played with another groups video.

Perry Bard created a project called 'Man with a Movie Camera'. Everyday, the 1929 Dziga Vertov film is recreated and uploaded by many users who have become part of the experiment and have interpret the video.
Software developed specifically for this project archives, sequence and streams the submissions as a film.
